Creating a bedtime ritual to deepen your dreamtime.

Drink your favorite non-caffeinated tea an hour before bed.

Hello beautiful dreamers! Welcome to my dreamtime blog!

Do you have a bedtime ritual? Have you noticed if your sleep habits or patterns change when the season changes? If you don’t already have one, maybe this is an ideal time to adjust and implement your bedtime ritual?

What are some ideas for a bedtime ritual? A bath soak with sea salt and essential oils, journaling about your day with a hot cup of tea, reading something inspiring, listening to a guided meditation while taking in the aroma of your favorite incense, just to name a few. Some of us may not have the time to unwind from a long day. In that case, you can still reap the benefits by keeping your bedtime ritual short and simple. Dab a few drops of an essential oil such as lavender or chamomile onto your wrists, behind your ears and on the bottoms of your feet, or say a quick prayer of gratitude for your day, or give yourself a hug or even just allow yourself 4-5 rounds of deep breathing while you sit or lie in your bed with your eyes closed.

Bedtime rituals not only help you to ease into a deeper slumber but also help you to dream and remember your dreams. Well, how is that possible? When we incorporate a few minutes to clear the energy of our day, we’re also lightening our mental load that we unintentionally carry with us into our time of rest. And if you have a few extra minutes to spare, set an intention to dream. Speak it and write it down. Stumped on what your next step is or the need to make a decision? Ask to receive guidance during your dreamtime. Don’t give up on yourself if you don’t remember or didn’t receive any guidance when you wake up. Give yourself some time. Ask again the following night.

‘Till next time…dream well.
